Sole design: Herringbone sole
This sole is also called wavy or clay court tread. You can recognize it by its wave design. This is the most popular sole among regular padel players due to its good traction and its ability to slide well on the court. It's also incredibly durable and perfect for playing on synthetic turf or sand.
Midsole: EVA foam
These shoes offer the perfect balance of comfort, durability and support thanks to their EVA injected foam midsole, which also ensures a dynamic response.
GEL technology
The strategically placed gel at the front and back of the foot reduces impacts (at the heel) for a smoother stride. The gel at the forefoot also reduces impacts when moving forward. The main benefits of this technology are: Comfort, stability and cushioning.
TRUSSTIC
Additional support. Soft component under the midfoot (across the outsole) to control rotation and twisting when your foot is in contact with the ground. This technology stabilises your stride for natural and efficient movement.
Pivot Point
Since padel is a sport where you have to constantly change directions, Asics decided to integrate a pivot point into its shoes to promote foot rotation. It is located at the forefoot.
Mesh upper: Stay dry, match after match
The Asics Dedicate 8 have a very breathable, flexible mesh upper for optimal comfort that keeps your feet cool.
Choosing your padel shoes
Padel shoes can make a big impact on performance. When choosing yours, you'll want to consider the following details: comfort (the length of your foot, shoe size, materials etc.); cushioning (technologies that provide good cushioning, such as Asics Gel); stability (laces, a length of fabric that wraps around the ankle and keeps your foot stable); grip (sturdy soles); and durability.
