Which is the right size?
Several sizes available:
S: between 1.50m and 1.64m
M: between 1.65 m and 1.74 m
L: between 1.75 m and 1.84 m
If you are between 2 sizes:
Choose the smaller size for easier steering (easier to handle) and comfort (straighter back).
Choose the larger size for easier pedalling with a more stretched-out position (position more suited to performance).
A STYLISH AND COMFORTABLE UNISEX FRAME
The housing is integrated into the diagonal tube of the frame to add to the sleek and sporty look.
With a heavily sloped top tube, the frame of the Ceres 5.3 mountain bike is unisex and has a more upright, more comfortable riding position.
For women, we recommend purchasing the Women's Sport 500 saddle which is fitted to the female form.
100 MM FRONT SUSPENSION
With a 100 mm front suspension, it will be easier to ride over small obstacles (roots, pebbles, stones, mud).
REAR SUSPENSION: None
This mountain bike has no rear suspension.
This is a "semi-rigid" mountain bike. Compared to a full suspension mountain bike (with rear suspension), the advantages are clear: this mountain bike is lighter; you spend less energy on flat ground.
DERAILLEUR & DRIVETRAIN: A SINGLE CHAINRING LIKE THE PROS!
The single chainring is easy and efficient to use:
1 chainring and 9 speeds.
Accelerate on the flats and easily tackle the climbs.
With a single X GEAR lever on the handlebar, you can change gears while hardly thinking!
- Single 34-tooth X GEAR chainring
- 9-cog 11-36 tooth X GEAR cassette
- Durable KMC Z9 chain
HANDLEBARS, STEM, GRIPS
The CERES 5.3 mountain bike stem is 50 mm long, with a 10° angle, and is angled upwards.5 and 10mm spacers can be used to adjust the height if needed.
The CERES 5.3 mountain bike offers good control thanks to the oversize aluminium handlebar (31.8mm) which is 720mm on the size S and 740mm on sizes M and L.The 30.9mm diameter seat post has a length of 350mm.
HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES
No matter what conditions you ride in (dry/wet), the 160mm CLARKS dual hydraulic disc brakes at the front and back will come through for you, even in the mud.
Hydraulic braking adds more power and progressive braking and requires less powerful use of the brake levers.
The aluminium brake levers are easy to grip and precise.
27.5" WHEELS WITH DOUBLE-WALLED RIMS AND ALL-CONDITION TYRES
The aluminium wheels are effective and sturdy: 27.5" diameter and double-walled rims. Their diameter is the perfect balance of comfort and performance. With their 32 spokes, they are lightweight, stiff, and durable.
The wide 27.5"x2.2 30 TPI tyres are comfortable and perform well on all terrain types (wet and dry).
Platform pedals
The Ceres 5.3 comes with platform pedals.
These pedals have a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedal.
EASILY TRANSPORT AND STORE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE
The bike is equipped with quick-release fittings to easily remove and reinstall the front and rear wheels.
