CONDITIONS OF USE.
This skimboard was created for kids to want to find out what it’s like to skim across the water.
To be used on a thin layer of water. Do not use on very windy days.
Do not use if there are pebbles or rocks on the beach.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE.
Please note that falls are common when skimboarding. Warm up your wrists and ankles before you start. Wax the deck to avoid slipping.
Throw the board in a flat, open area (watch out for swimmers).
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE OF SKIMBOARD.
The size of the skimboard directly influences its stability and ease of handling. It must be suited to the size and weight of its user. This skimboard is designed for children weighing between 20 and 55 kg, and measuring between 1m20 and 1m60 in height, i.e. between 6 and 14 years old.
RESTRICTIONS OF USE.
Do not use in areas reserved for swimming. Not suitable for users over 1.60 m tall.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE.
PART 1.
1) Throw: Practise throwing your board as straight as possible on a thin film of water.
2) Run: Start running with the board in your hand, throw your board and then sprint to jump on it. Your last steps should be as fast as possible.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE.
PART 2.
3) Jump: Jump on your board as gently as possible. Your feet should be in line with the centre of the board. These pointers should help you have the best ride possible.
4) Ride: Keep your knees bent to lower your centre of gravity, which will keep you more stable for a longer ride.
5) First tricks: Once you have mastered gliding along, try putting your hand on the ground to spin yourself around!
