Asolo & Solognac collaboration
The footwear specialist Outdoor Asolo and hunting specialist Solognac have joined forces to design a unique range of boots with exceptional characteristics: Its Gore-text membrane, Vibram sole, robust upper components, and excellent assembly and finish quality make these the ultimate hunting boots. What is more, all models have been tested over a period of several months by hunting guides across France.
Gore-tex and Vibram
The Gore-tex Extended Comfort membrane and Vibram Megagrip sole set the standard within their market: a waterproof but breathable membrane to keep your feet dry in the rain and with exertion, and a Vibram Megagrip sole component and design that have been tested to accompany you over dry or wet terrain with the same level of adherence.
The Perwanger split leather even allows you to walk through the occasional brambles in the woods.
Maintenance
It is very simple to take good care of these boots! Simply wash them in soap and water, without any grease or detergent. You can apply a waterproofing spray once the shoes are dry to reactivate the water repellency of the leather and textile. To keep the upper supple, do not leave them to dry next to a source of intense heat.
Asolo
Asolo, founded in 1975 in northern Italy, is a pioneer in hiking and mountaineering boots. The company was the first to design hiking boots combining Cordura fabric and leather, and went on to be the first to offer waterproof boots with the famous Gore-tex membrane in 1980. Their story had begun, and Asolo is today recognised for its ability to subtly blend tradition, high-quality products and innovation.
Vibram
The company has been producing soles since 1937, and developed the first sole for mountaineering by means of rubber vulcanisation in collaboration with Pirelli. The name Vibram was created, and the brand quickly gained recognition for the excellent grip on its soles. The demands of mountaineering enabled Vibram to develop their extensive expertise. Today, the Megagrip compound is acknowledged as providing one of the best grips on dry or wet ground.
Gore-Tex
It was in 1958 that Mr and Mrs Gore created the Gore company in their garage in Newark, Delaware. A scientific discovery enabled them to develop a material that could withstand heavy rain without absorbing water. Gore-text technology had been invented. It was used for waterproof jackets and gloves. And in 1981 it was even used in space suits. The brand quickly became a leader in the outdoor market, continuously innovating to enable enthusiasts to enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather.
Perwanger
This tannery, which was founded deep in the Italian Alps, has been producing leather from the finest Italian cattle since 1780. With its passion for mountaineering, Perwanger developed a special treatment to provide its leather with excellent water repellency: Perwanger's reputation has continued to grow ever since. Its treated leather prevents water from penetrating and weighing down the boots, while maintaining breathability and ensuring excellent resistance to scratching.
