These SNIPER bodyboards complement the RADBUG range
In 2020, we decided to offer a wider range of bodyboards than our own range of RADBUG boards. As such, we've selected this specific model from the SNIPER Bodyboard brand, which is recognised for its expertise and high-performance products.
SNIPER works with acclaimed bodyboarders such as Amaury Lavernhe, Iain Campbell or Alex Uranga from amongst the worldwide bodyboarding elite.
Bodyboard designed for getting into the sport and developing skills
This bodyboard from SNIPER's "Improve Series" range is ideal for anyone looking to get into bodyboarding and develop their skills. The board's technical specifications offer a good compromise between ease of use, comfort and control, for a bodyboard that is versatile in use, including in colder water.
Size guide / How to choose the right bodyboard size?
The size of the bodyboard directly influences its stability and ease of handling. It must be suited to the size and weight of its user. This bodyboard is available in five sizes, depending on the height of the user:
36" if you are between 1.25 m and 1.40 m
38" between 1.35 m and 1.55 m
40" between 1.55 m and 1.70 m
42" between 1.65 m and 1.85 m
44" above 1.85 m
A bodyboard that is too small will lack buoyancy and mean you'll miss out on waves.
A bodyboard that is too big will be hard to
Leash and leash plug sold separately
We recommend using the RADBUG BICEPS 500 leash. To attach it, ensure that you position the plug more than 5 cm from the middle of the board.
Drill the hold from the underside using a large Phillips screwdriver. (If you pierce from the top, you could damage the slick by lifting it off).
Insert the 2 parts of the plug one after the other, with the screw at the bottom.
Screw it in using a £2/€2 coin until the slick warps slightly.
Did you know? The use of fins lets you catch 2 to 3 times more waves!
When the water is higher than your belly button, it is very complicated to catch waves without fins. You can no longer push off with your feet, and paddling with your arms is often not enough.
We have observed that with fins, you will catch 2 to 3 times more waves and have more fun!
Fins allow you to move faster and considerably increase propulsion when taking take-off.
Fins: Do not forget!
To catch waves, you must be correctly positioned on the bodyboard.
As you catch the wave, both hands are at the front.
To turn left, keep your left hand in front (hand, elbows and shoulders aligned, arm at 90 °) and move your right hand along the rail right up the middle of the board. Align your left leg with the left rail to stay in the same direction.
Do the opposite to go right.
Recommendations for avoiding chafing and having the best grip on your board.
You should be lying flat on the bodyboard when catching waves. Be sure to wear a long-sleeved anti-UV top or a wetsuit to avoid chafing on your arms and torso.
We recommend you apply wax to the top of your bodyboard - especially on the front hand position, on the sides, and under your stomach - for the best grip (sold separately in the surfing aisle). Do this for each session.
