Recommendations for application
Obtain the tree owner's consent before applying any pine tar.
Choose a tree of little value, 20 cm minimum in diameter, cut off the lower branches up to a height of about 1 metre. Make a few horizontal 1 - 2 cm cuts in order to impregnate the bark. Paint the tar on with a brush, starting at the top and letting the product run down the trunk.
Recommendations for summer/winter application
The pine tar in the bucket has a paste-like viscosity which is easy to spread in summer temperatures.
In winter the tar may set and we would recommend that the night before use you keep the bucket at a temperature of 20°C, or place the bucket in a basin of hot water one hour before application.
