The speed and distance of Steelhead XR irons are based around our next generation Face Cup 360™ technology, enabling ultra-thin club face perimeter to freely flex on impact with greater efficiency, increasing ball speed for extra distance, especially on mishits. The optimisation of ball speed is so significant that it has helped to increase the coefficient of restitution to nearly .830, limit set by USGA.

The new generation 360 Face Cup ™ technology increases ball speed with greater efficiency on centred and off-centred shots for extra distance for every swing.
Higher launch and superior feel
A bar of steel-infused soft urethane positioned behind the lower portion of face serves two purposes. 1) Absorbs unwanted vibration for great feel. 2 ) Integrating steel in urethane adds weight, which lowers the head’s centre of gravity for faster ball speed on lower shots and higher ball launch.
More control and distance with progressive centre of gravity
The CG is strategically positioned in each iron to generate easier ball launch and longer carry in the long-irons, easier ball launch with crisp control in the mid-irons, and lower shots with higher control in the short-irons.
