Altimeter

The altimeter lets you measure up to 9,000 m. It is ideal for all activities in which it is important to know your altitude and climbing or descent speeds. The Suunto Core altimeter lets you measure the altitude differences in order to track your progress in terms of climbing. The log records all your altitude changes between the start and end times, so you can analyse your activity when you get home, establishing graphs.

Barometer

The Suunto Core displays the current pressure at sea level in the form of a detailed graph indicating the values recorded for the last 24 hours at 30 minute intervals. The weather trend indicator is a useful feature which lets you quickly check the upcoming weather conditions. The storm alarm tells you about any sudden drop in the air pressure, which may lead to difficult weather conditions.

Automatic Alti/Baro switching

The Suunto Core has automatic Alti/Baro switching, which detects movements or their absence, switching respectively from an altimetric to a barometric mode. When you are climbing, it records the changes in altitude. And when you stop to rest, it records the changes in barometric pressure. Any fall in pressure occurring when you sleep under the stars will be interpreted correctly.

Compass

The digital compass displays North and the cardinal and semi-cardinal points. Adjusting the declination lets you correct for the difference between geographic and magnetic north. You can also set the compass to follow a given bearing, which lets you follow the chosen direction on the ground.

Depth gauge

Designed for free diving, the Suunto Core depth gauge informs you about your depth and the maximum depth reached when diving. The maximum depth of the device is 10 m.

Watch

The watch's features include displaying the time, a second time and the date, an alarm, a sports stopwatch, a timer and forecasts of sunrise and sunset for over 400 places in the world.
