Construction
Expanded polystyrene core with 3 wood stringers. New Hot-laminated polyethylene coating on the core to limit water entry and improve the rigidity. High density polyethylene base.
Wax before use to avoid slipping.
Mounting
The 6’ swallow tail surfboard comes with a set of 3 identical fins with the same screw size. The set includes a plastic tool to screw them in. Quick and easy to fit, there’s no risk of getting it wrong. The double-swivel urethane leash is also supplied with the board. It is easy to attach to the back of the board.
Regularly check that the screws are tight to ensure a good seal and that the leash is securely fastened for added safety.
Precautions for use
Be careful, as prolonged exposure to the sun or high temperatures can cause the coating to delaminate. We recommend storing your board in the shade and not inside a vehicle. Tighten the fin screws regularly using the tool supplied to minimise water entry.
If you need to strap the board to a roof rack: we recommend putting the board in a bag. The strap may damage the rail.
