Why is this an outlet gravel bike?
During quality checks in the factory, we discovered a problem with the paintwork on one batch.
The paint on the black mask is peeling off, revealing the khaki paint underneath the black layer. See photos.
The black paint may also come off over time (a process accelerated by rubbing or washing the bike, for example).
Apart from this defect, the bike is fully compliant. It has just left the factory, and all the components are of course new.
Choosing the brand
We identified the issue and were able to resolve it.
Instead of throwing these frames away because of a cosmetic defect, we decided to assemble them in order to sell the bike as a second choice for a lower price.
The warranty for paintwork issues is not valid for this problem, which has been clearly identified here. Apart from that, the standard Decathlon warranty naturally applies. We're convinced you'll still love these bikes!
Choosing the right size bike
You should choose the size of your bike based on your height, as well as your build (arm span and leg length).
If you are between sizes, opting for the smaller size will give you a more comfortable position that makes it easier to tackle gravel trails.

Tyre Structure
The bike can accept 700*36 or 650x42 tyres.
Please be aware of the risk of tyres that are over 36 mm.
Even if the clearance between the wheel and the fork and frame is enough for 40 mm tyres, there is a risk of you coming off your bike in the event that your shoe comes into contact with the front tyre. This can happen at low speeds on tight turns, and will depend on the size of the frame and how you've got your SPD cleats set up on your sole.
