When shopping for basketball shoes, you need to:
- determine your skill level and playing frequency,
- identify your main expectations related to your playing style,
- pick the right upper height: covered ankle or not?
Choosing your shoe size
Choose a shoe size greater than what you would normally wear for optimal comfort.
There should be 1 cm of space between your toe and the end of the shoe as the volume and length of your foot tends to increase while playing.
Lastly, opt for socks designed specifically for basketball that will limit friction in high-wear spots.
