Capacity
Square base 1.9 mx 1.9 m, with an area of 3.6 m² and a maximum height of 1.4 m.
Integrated groundsheet (not detachable).
WATERPROOFING
The shelter has been designed for hot weather use.
The ground protects from moisture and roughness of the ground.
The ventilated fabric upper wall (mesh) lets water through so it is not recommended to use this shelter in the rain.
Sun protection
We recommend you protect your skin.
The “Fresh” fabric has UPF 50+ sun protection.
As soon as the sun changes direction, connect the removable panel to the side wall and you’ll always be protected.
For more shade around the shelter, set-up this removable panel horizontally with the accessories sold separately (in store and on the Decathlon website):
- Steel pole kit ref. 8358159 (for one pole, use 3 of the 4 sections),
- Guy ropes kit ref. 8030251.
(see instructions).
Reduces heat
The top of the shelter has a Fresh fabric, where the sun's rays are strongest. This exclusive and innovative concept reduces heat, thanks to 3 combined technologies: white polyester and titanium dioxide (TIO²) to reflect the sun's rays and aluminium to insulate heat.
To avoid feeling hot, in addition to the Fresh fabric, we recommend you ventilate the shelter by opening the doors and windows.
Pitching/striking
Benefit from the Easy technology to pitch and dismantle your shelter in 1 minute.
The self-standing structure lets you move the shelter once it has been assembled to find the best location.
Instant foldaway: once the shelter is released, simply gather it all into the bag.
Cover with two compression straps and a carry handle.
First time questions? Don’t hesitate to consult the instructions in the storage case and the video on the Decathlon website.
Wind resistance
Properly pitched, with the 4 pegs in place, this shelter remains habitable in winds of 30 km/hr (force 4).
We test all our shelters in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The purpose is to expose each side of the shelter to the same wind speed.
To increase wind resistance, it is recommended to add guy ropes on the 4 vertical poles, accessories sold separately on the Decathlon website: ref. 8030251.
Care and storage advice
Our shelters have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) during your adventures in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum robustness of your shelter, it's important to clean and store it in its cover when not in use.
