Choosing your juggling balls
Jugglers should use balls adapted to their skill level, hands and strength.
Soft bags are more suitable for beginners and training (indoors).
The ball's diameter will depend on the juggler's hands and the number of balls they want to juggle. And the weight depends on their strength. You'll find more advice on how to juggle on the Decathlon Gymnastics YouTube channel.
How to juggle with two balls
Start with just one ball. Throw it from one hand to the other, trying to keep your hands as still as possible and looking straight ahead of you.
Then, pick up a second ball and hold one ball in each hand. Throw the first ball. When it reaches its highest point, throw the other ball. Catch the balls, one at a time, in the opposite hand to the one that threw them.
Repeat this exercise but starting with the other hand.
How to juggle with three balls
Take two balls in one hand and one ball in the other hand.
Start with the hand that's holding two balls.
Throw one of these balls and, when it reaches its highest point, throw the ball that you're holding in the other hand. Catch both of these balls in the opposite hand to the one that threw them.
When the second ball reaches its highest point, it's time to throw the third ball. And that's how to juggle with three balls!
