Adjusting your diabolo string
The diabolo string should be the same length as the distance between your feet on the ground and your armpits.Once the string is cut, insert the end of the string into the hole at the end of the stick and tie a knot. Now you're ready to get started. The diabolo rotates faster thanks to its bearing so that you can do a variety of amazing tricks and tosses.
Which direction to spin the bearing diabolo as a right or left handed user
Each side of the bearing has a different colour to make it easier to identify the bobbin's direction: black towards you if you're right-handed, white if you're left-handed.You'll find more advice on how to juggle on the Decathlon Gymnastics YouTube channel.
Using the diabolo
Roll the diabolo bobbins from left to right (right to left if you're left handed) then raise the string in one swift movement. Move the stick in your dominant hand up and down quickly. To increase the rotation speed, wrap the string counter-clockwise around the bobbin. Keep moving your hand up and down. Then turn the string clockwise to undo the previous loop. Now you're ready to try a toss!
How to protect your diabolo when transporting and storing it
The diabolo comes with two white rings that protect the cups during transportation and storage. We recommend putting these protective covers in place after each use to prevent your cups from warping (which is important to preserve the diabolo's balance).
The diabolo comes with a carrying bag so that you can easily take it with you and practise wherever is convenient for you.
