What is "Tubeless Ready"?
A tubeless ready tyre lets you ride without an inner tube, or tubeless. The beads are specific to ensure watertightness and good support on the rim. Just like tubeless ready rims, sidewalls on a tubeless ready tyre are not perfectly watertight, which is why you need to add some tyre sealant during assembly. The sealant also acts as puncture prevention.
This tyre can also be used with an inner tube.
What are the advantages of a tubeless assembly?
With a tubeless assembly, you benefit from double puncture protection. If a foreign body ever punctures the protection built into the tyre (for this tyre, the polyamide strip), then the sealant will plug the hole (unless the hole is truly too big).
A tubeless assembly also allows you to ride at lower pressures without losing energy. So you benefit from greater comfort and performance on rougher trails.
What equipment is needed for a Tubeless Ready assembly?
- A tubeless valve
- A tubeless rim strip
- Tyre sealant
- A tubeless ready compatible rim
- A foot pump or compressor

What is the puncture protection of this tyre?
The puncture protection of the CrossProtect Light hybrid bike tyre is composed of a layer of woven polyamide.
We tested this protection in the lab. It earned a score of 3/5.
How do you measure a tyre's puncture resistance?
We measure a tyre's puncture resistance in the lab. The perforating elements are calibrated to mimic the spines, glass shards, etc that you may encounter on roads and trails. Depending on its resistance, each tyre gets a score from 1 to 5/5.
The strongest tyres on the market get a score of 5/5.
How to inflate your tyre correctly
Inflate the tyre with caution. The minimum pressure for this tyre is 2 bar, the maximum 5 bar. These values are displayed on the sidewall of the tyre. We recommend using a pump with a pressure gauge.
We recommend checking the pressure once a month.
