The bearded vulture, an iconic mountain bird!
The bearded vulture has a wingspan of 3 metres!
It nests in the steep cliffs of the mountains of Europe.
It’s a bird that feeds mainly on bones which it breaks by throwing them against the rocks! Hunted relentlessly, it had disappeared from the Alps...
Since then, the bearded vulture has been reintroduced, but remains a very endangered species with multiple causes of death (poisoning, hunting, collision with cables, disturbance of the nest).
When you buy this bottle, you’re helping preserve bearded vultures in Europe.
For each bottle sold, Quechua will donate 2 euros to 2 associations working for the conservation and better understanding of the bearded vulture:
- The Conservatoire de Haute-Savoie which coordinates the European LIFE GypHelp programme and manages the only French centre for breeding and reintroducing this vulture.
- The Foundation for the Conservation of Vultures, an international NGO dedicated to the protection of 4 species of European vultures.

This vulture bottle will be available in 2 colours (yellow and turquoise) in limited quantities.
It will be available in some stores and on the internet. The drawing representing a "super hero" bearded vulture is the work of an illustrator living in the mountain range which housed the first reintroduction of vultures in France!
Directions for use
Aluminium is not isothermal. Use a cover if you want to keep liquids cool.
Do not use with fizzy drinks or fatty substances (dairy products, oil etc) or with acidic drinks (fruit juices, energy drinks). Do not microwave, freeze, or expose to flames.
Functions
Using the straw, you can drink by “sucking”, keeping your head upright.
It’s possible to drink as with a classic bottle by taking out the inner straw. This may produce a noise (like a duck or dolphin sound…) linked to the air’s entry in contact with the water.
The top has a handle that allows easy transport in your hand, or hang it from a rucksack with a strap or snap hook.
Care tips
Clean your flask after each use with a conventional washing-up liquid and water. The product may also be placed in the dishwasher if necessary. Warning, when washing in the dishwasher, the stopper seal may come off. Make sure you put it back if this happens, to ensure the watertightness of your flask. Let the bottle and lid dry separately and fully.
First use
Rinse the entire product 3 times with clear water before using for the first time.
