Sizing
This martingale is available in two sizes: CS for section D ponies and small horses, FS for horses.
Adjustment
This model can be adjusted in several places. There is a snap hook to attach it to the girth. It can be removed if you don't need it. The martingale can be adjusted using a sliding system between the breastplate and the bottom of the fork. Depending on the level of intensity you're looking for, just slide the loop into the right position.
Our suggestions for adjusting your martingale
If poorly adjusted, a martingale can prevent your horse from moving comfortably. We suggest taking the time to adjust it well before using it. The fork length is generally adjusted to two-thirds the length of the collar. You can further adjust it by using the loop that connects the two elasticated straps. To prevent accidents, make sure the breastplate and loops are well adjusted (but not too tight). A loose martingale is very dangerous.
Care advice
To keep your martingale in good condition, we recommend cleaning it regularly with glycerine soap applied using a sponge dampened with lukewarm water. You can then hydrate your leather with grease applied using a household or special leather cloth. If your leather items are rough and dry, you can also treat them with leather milk to deeply moisturise the leather.
Ease of use
The fork has two clip-on rings. You don't need to remove your reins - the rings clip on in a flash. Likewise, the girth clips on with an ultra-robust and removable snap hook.
