A lightweight frame for committed mountain biking:
Our engineers designed this aluminium frame to make this a lightweight bike, under 10 kg.
Very sloping for better handling on challenging terrain.
There are also 2 inserts on the frame so that you can attach a bottle cage for longer rides.
A rigid fork is a choice:
There is no suspension fork on this 20" EXPL 900 model.
The goal is to save weight without compromising on shock absorption.
To keep a suspension effect, we used a new pair of tyres with a wide cross-section of 2.2.
Cushioning and traction guaranteed.
A 8-speed drive train designed for kids:
This bike is equipped with our innovative Easytrigger shifter, designed to make it easy to shift between the 8 speeds.
The derailleur allows you to switch gears on the 11/34 freewheel.
The 32-tooth chainset has 140 mm cranks and is equipped with a double chainguard to prevent derailment.
Controlled braking:
We have equipped the bike with front and rear mechanical disc brakes for progressive, powerful braking.
The discs are 160 mm.
Breaking in disc brakes:
A bedding-in process is required. On a flat, dry road, perform 3 sets of 10 progressive brake applications at increasing speeds.
1) Ride at 15 km/h, brake down to 5 km/h, and repeat 10 times.
2) Ride at 20 km/h, brake down to 5 km/h, and repeat 10 times.3) Optional (kid's bike):
Ride at 25 km/h, brake down to 5 km/h, and repeat 10 times.Between each step, release and ride for a few dozen metres in order to ventilate the disc. This bedding-in process optimises the pad/disc adhesion.
A comfortable cycling position:
The 580 mm oversize handlebars provide stability on descents,
good balance when standing, and improved handling.
This handlebar width also allows for better chest opening to optimise breathing.
A chainset with cranks adapted to children:
The new chainset has a 140 mm crank that is designed for a child's leg length. This chainset allows you to start pedalling more easily.
20" wheels and all-terrain tyres:
To transport the bike, we’ve made it easy to remove and attach the front wheel. It is equipped with a quick-release system.
The 20" lugged tyres with a 2.2 cross-section provide traction and lots of comfort.
They help compensate for the lack of a suspension fork.
The recommended tyre pressure is displayed on the tyre sidewall (between 2 and 3.5 bar).
The 20" inner tube is compatible with cross-sections of 1.7 to 2.2.
It has a Schrader valve.
