Important use restriction
The decree of 5 October 2020 relating to the collective hunting of large game stipulates that it is compulsory for hunters and their companions to wear a fully fluorescent top garment; two-tone clothing does not fall within this framework.
This gilet is suitable for hunting small game but should not be used for drive hunting big game.
A PPE certified hunting gilet for safety during your hunting trips
This certified "Personal Protective Equipment" gilet must be worn over all other garments and should not be covered by any other items such as a parka or backpack. Protection is not guaranteed in the absence of natural light. This PPE product is for non-professional use. Please note that wearing this garment does not dispense the wearer from complying with current safety codes in force at the time of the hunting activity.
The gilet has evolved thanks to your input and feedback on the brown 900 gilet
The classic brown 900 gilet was quickly embraced by users. We soon received feedback for a potential further development of the design: you wanted a neon version! Our team has taken your feedback into account, and we are pleased to introduce the 920 gilet with neon orange inserts on the front and back. Also, we have altered the chest and waist straps to make them easier to adjust.
Your feedback has also led to an additional improvement: a slot for a camelbak-type water-bottle pouch
With this new version, we have gone a step further. While the garment features 2 bottle holders, many of you have suggested adding a large rear compartment for storing a hydration pack (not included). Well, now you have it! The pocket is sealed with a zipper and separate from the game bag. It contains an inner strap to securely fasten your hydration pack. There are also two possible outlets (right and left) for the water tube, allowing you to drink comfortably while walking
A comfortable hunting gilet
When you're wearing a backpack, the weight inside doesn't tip backwards. Why? Because the straps return to the body at the hips! This was an inspiration for us. Initially, our straps were to come forward, but the weight in the rear game bag created an imbalance. Then our designers worked out a solution to align them with the stress of the weight at the bottom of the back. The whole weight was therefore properly distributed and you enjoy good support.
The adjustment system of the straps has evolved: here's how!
On the classic brown 900 gilet, the adjustment of the chest strap stays in one position. On this 920 version, you can now slide it up and down, allowing you to make the best adjustment to your body shape. Another tip is that you can clip the remote control of your dog's collar onto one of the two loops on the right or left shoulder intended for the tube of your hydration pack.
A ventilation system on the back designed to effectively wick away perspiration
On the back, the mesh ensures that it is more comfortable to wear. In addition, air circulation is facilitated by a ventilation system that enables optimal perspiration wicking. Ideal when you are hunting in lowlands in the sun at the start of the hunting season, no? This gilet will accompany you on your outings, even in autumn when the temperatures are still warm. You are cooler, you get less tired, and you can keep moving with ease
The other advantages of this gilet over the previous version
Just like the 900 version, the 920 gilet offers foam padding on the shoulder straps and back with small ventilated openings for airflow. But there is even more to this version: our engineers have designed an inner zipped pocket on the inside of the belt to safely store documents or accessories. Finally, the last improvement has to do with the lower pockets, which are equipped with special tubes that allow for 5 cartridges to be carried in each pocket.
Further details
This gilet is intended to be the outermost layer because it can be worn with a simple t-shirt in the summer, or on top of a jacket in the winter. Its fabric is wear-resistant and is also water-repellent (this means that it offers protection from light rain). With this version, you have quick access to the game bag: this bag can be expanded using the 2 press studs on the sides, and very easily cleaned with its zip. Weight of the gilet? 0.810 kg, not including the filled hydration pack.
