The main features of this hunting knife
Corrosion-proof: no need to fear the damp! The shape and rubber grip make it easy to hold. With its one-piece construction and flat blade mounting, it is robust and strong. For a good cutting edge, the steel is easy to sharpen (20° wire sharpening). Finally, all parts of the knife are available as spare parts (quick and easy to dismantle thanks to the six Torx screws on the grip).
Sharpening the SIKA 90 FR
The angle of the knife blade is 20°. A triangle located in the packaging allows you to check this angle on a whetstone. To re-sharpen this SIKA 90 FR, follow these steps: place the blade on the triangle, follow the slant and keep to this angle while sharpening on the stone.
Note that the Solognac quick sharpener also allows you to sharpen your blade very easily without any special technique. Sharpening with a sharpening gun is also possible, but requires a little practice.
A knife made in France
We developed this new SIKA 90 FR knife with our French industrial partner, who has been based in Thiers since 1999. Specialising in blade cutting, our partner GDD has made rapid progress in industrial innovation and manufacturing excellence to obtain the most technical knives on the market. All manufacturing is integrated in the company: cutting, forging, hardening, grinding, machining, sharpening. A true testament to French know-how.
