How can I be sure that my baby's feet will be kept warm during their sledging activities in the snow?
We have selected a lining and filling (with 40% wool) that encourage insulation to keep your kids’ feet warm.
These boots have been tested in line with the ISO 20344 standard: 2011 compared with other Decathlon baby boots. These XWARM baby snow boots kept the heat in for longer when tested. These baby après-ski are the warmest Decathlon baby boots.
How can I be sure that my baby's feet will be kept dry during their sledging activities in the snow?
To make sure that these XWARM baby boots offer a good level of waterproofing, a waterproof insert has been added into the boot lining. This makes the boots waterproof to the bottom of the eyelets. This efficient design will keep your baby’s feet dry. To stop snow from getting in, we recommend you put the bottom of your trousers, ski suit or gaiter over the boot. The elastic passes through a hook under the sole.
Why do these boots have different coloured large eyelets at the top of the upper?
These winter boots have been specially designed so that your baby can put them on easily on their own. There are two eyelets so you can pull on the boots by putting an index finger inside for a good grip. What’s more, the two inner eyelets are a flashy orange colour to guide your child. They only need to hold them opposite each other to find the right and left boot. They will be happy to become more independent thanks to this trick!
How to choose the right baby snow boot size for my kid?
The fit of these boots has been researched for a baby wearing (thick) ski socks. To choose the right size, it's recommended to measure your kid’s bare foot using the available Decathlon foot scale.
What is the difference between traction and grip?
The boots’ traction depends on the number and shape of the studs (3 mm on this baby boot). The grip is dependent on the materials of the sole and the tread pattern, like the tyres of your car. Traction optimises propulsion, prevents the boot from slipping backwards when going uphill and stabilises the boot.
Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, ice) by giving the sole grip.
Where can I write my baby's name on these winter boots?
Space on the inside of the adjustable tongue for you to write your kid's name to personalise the après-ski boots. A very useful tip for finding your snow boots!
