FCR
The FCR range for Fast Racer is the product range for which we've worked the hardest on aerodynamics.
It is intended for cyclists for whom every watt saved and every second counts.
These products make no compromises on performance.
The helmet from the FCR range has been designed to work perfectly with the VAN RYSEL Road 900 Sunglasses. The temples clip perfectly into the helmet and don't slip off.
THE HELMET OF THE PROS
This FCR helmet has been chosen by the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE professional team for flat or rolling stages.
SECURITY
Because choosing a helmet is above all for safety reasons, this helmet meets all the most demanding impact standards.
It complies with the European regulation EN1078.
This standard covers the following aspects: construction, including field of vision, shock absorption properties, retention system features including the chinstrap and tightening devices, and marking and information.
Sizes & Weight
FCR
Size S: 52-55 cm 250 g
Size M: 55-59 cm 290 g
Size L: 59-62 cm 330 g
Note that this helmet is also available in a version with the MIPS system. This system slightly modifies the size grid, so if you are at the upper end of the size range and prefer the MIPS version, we recommend purchasing one size higher.
Ventilation
A helmet's ventilation is optimal when large entrances for air are connected to exits via canals that let the air circulate. The head is an essential component for cooling the body during intensive effort.
The evacuation of the heat generated is thus a priority for maintaining a high level of performance.
VENTILATION AND AERODYNAMICS
Poorly placed ventilation can, on the other hand, generate a great loss of aerodynamic performance by significantly increasing drag.
The FCR air vents have been placed in high pressure zones that do not affect the helmet's aerodynamics.
The 3 inner channels are wide and deep to ensure optimal air flow.
RETURNS CONDITIONS (SPECIFIC TO PPE)
This helmet is an item of PPE (personal protective equipment) and its level of protection will depend on its condition.
We can only accept returns of unused helmets. If this helmet is not right for you, please return it along with the user guide and tags.
HELMET LIFE SPAN
Helmets don't last forever. To ensure maximum safety, we recommend replacing your helmet at least every 5 to 7 years. It is important to store it in its case, in a dry, cool place away from sunlight.
Extreme temperatures will deteriorate the helmet's foam more quickly.
After a significant impact, it is essential to replace your helmet, since it may no longer be effective if there are cracks inside the structure.
