Dimensions of the plate: 30cm x 30cm
The square plate measures 30 cm per 30 cm
The distance between the plate and your handlebars is 16 cm when the calliper is perfectly perpendicular to the plate. But it also rotates so you can reduce the height as you wish!
Its design was based on our orienteering-race experience...
This product is the fruit of our experience: map holders are hard to find and complicated to install.
So, to offer a simple, clever and accessible product, our 3-member design team went through a whole host of races, meetings, tests and prototypes.
Our favourite memory? When a competitor used our prototype during the final of the French adventure racing championships.
And this is how we designed such an easy-to-use and robust map holder!
Finally a map holder that can be fitted without tools!
When you are preparing for your orienteering race, you have enough equipment to worry about without adding a screwdriver and Allen key. And the moments before you set off are not the ideal time for DIY.
So, for greater ease and peace of mind, here is a map holder you can fit and adjust without any tools! The plastic feet (extremely robust) attach to the handlebars and the tightening wheels will stop you from losing any screws while racing!
An adjustable, rotating and compact map holder!
In order to find your way more easily on a map, our tip is to orient the map in your direction of travel.
And on the bike? How about a map holder that can rotate?
In addition, the bracket will let you adjust the height and angle of the map holder. And it can fold up completely to save you space in your bag!
A final tip? The rubber washes will let you adjust the map holder to narrower handlebars.
We are proud to present this practical and stable plate:
It isn’t always easy to read a map when riding. Particularly for mountain biking on tricky trails! To make sure it's easy to read your map, we have designed a semi-rigid plate (30 cm x 30 cm) which resists vibrations. Thanks to the elastic attachment system, you will be able to open the plastic cover, change map and close it with just one hand, while you ride!
Lancelot, one of our designers, can tell you about the design process for the MTB map holder.
"When we started the project, I signed up for races, to fully grasp our needs during practice. I fell in love with the combination of fun and thought which few sports can offer. But I also had a nightmare installing the map holder, losing screws while racing, etc. So, we designed plastic fittings that are both much simpler and extremely robust. The other requirement is to be able to easily read the card and use it with just one hand, while riding!"
In the event of a fall
The flexible plate folds up without breaking if you fall.
