TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
What are the design features that make this parka your best ally against the cold?
This parka made from insulating down was designed for Arctic conditions. It features:
- a stand-up collar and winter storm hood with removable long-pile faux fur
- storm cuffs to stop cold and snow from getting inside
- adjustable wadded snow skirt to stop cold and snow from getting inside
- cuffs that are adjustable using rip-tabs
- extremely warm and deep storm hood with faux fur
These features provide a perfect seal for the best protection against the cold
How is temperature measured in a laboratory?
This jacket is considered a 4th layer.
It has therefore been tested with a long-sleeved T-shirt, fleece jacket and warm padded jacket in our research and development laboratory, on a thermal mannequin in a climatic chamber.
The results demonstrated that our jacket remains comfortable when walking at 5 km/h with no wind or sunshine, at -30°C.
What are all these pockets used for?
We have foreseen every function in the field.
The large inner pockets on the chest and below can be used to carry a GPS, ski goggles and a spare pair of gloves.
The outer hand pockets on the chest are lined so that you can warm up your fingers.
This jacket also has a Napoleon pocket hidden under a flap, which can be used without opening the jacket – ideal for finding your bearings on a map without letting any warmth escape
What are the shoulder straps for?
This parka has removable shoulder straps so you can take off the parka and support it with the straps if you get too hot (as show in one of the photos).
The worst enemy in a polar environment is perspiration. Therefore it’s important not to get too hot.
How much feather and down is used?
Here is the amount of down and feathers in a parka, according to its size.

The down provides insulation and has filling power (700 CUIN) to guarantee our parka's thermal properties.
How is the feather and down sourced?
We use down and feathers from ducks. We use RDS-certified down (Responsible Down Standard). This certification is awarded by an independent body to guarantee that the feathers and down come from animals that have not been force-fed or live plucked.
Sizing information
This parka is unisex and our stylist Maria has thought about all the technical details so that women can wear this jacket comfortably. A zip on the jacket hem so you can increase volume around the pelvis. This jacket can also be tightened at the weight to refine the silhouette and fit to every body shape.

Storage tips
When not in use, this parka should be stored on a hanger in a dry, ventilated place, to maintain its filling power and, hence, its thermal performance over time.

Test product
Our design team, all passionate about the Arctic environment, went to Finland, Sweden then to Svalbard to test, adapt and re-test our prototypes before they went to market. It's in the field that they were able to experience every constraint and difficulty and therefore offer you a product perfectly suited to Arctic trekking.
